This morning we tried an 'unplugged' computing activity - so no computers at all! We took turns to program our partner robot to build a stack of cups. Now we know what algorithms are too!

On Monday we had our first attempt at baking bread - it turned out to be a VERY sticky experience - we 'knead' to improve! Today we have been preparing our own recipes, so watch this space for more photos of our cooking masterclass!
It's great to be able to share our pupils' fantastic talents on the blog - here's Sophia doing a taekwondo demonstration at Paradise Park - great stuff! I think I might be a little scared of Sophia now!
The alien robot:
A long time ago on the gorgeous, dusty orange planet called Mars, there lived a group of murderous aliens. No-one on Earth knew or believed that these devilish creatures existed. One day, the aliens made a grave decision: they were going to make the human race extinct. They worked industriously for one whole year to create their evil robot. It was horrible: as tall as as the clouds and covered blood-red paint. The robot was almost complete, when the humans launched their attack: a powerful rocket struck the robot’s heart. It deafeningly exploded and the robot’s top half was blasted into the deep ocean, never to be seen again. All that was left was a pair of gigantic legs, stood in the forest like a statue. (Edited with help from Mr K). The History Of The Huge Monster...
Near the palace in England 1870, there was something horrible - a vast monster called Denis. He was the most hideous monster that ever lived. He also murdered everyone that force him to do something that he didn’t like .He kept everyone’s soul in a magical box that he could control anytime. Everyone was fearful of him and he could do what he wants. But at the end, someone killed him and chopped off his body and left the legs in a wood because that is the place where he died until now it is still in the wood. By Arch. |
