Our English work this week has been to plan and write a recount of something we did over the holiday. We then used the iPads and the Audioboom app to record them - here are Sarthak, Arch and Alice's. Have a listen and leave us a comment!

On our first day back in class we wrote down lots of things about ourselves - what makes us special and unique. We then added words to each other's sheets and Mr Kenyon created these word clouds. You can see them displayed just outside our classroom, or take a look at the slideshow below!
Today we celebrated Pan's birthday and she brought in TWO delicious cakes for us to share and also lots of wonderful fruits. Happy birthday, Pan!
Here are the rules, rights and responsibilities we created on the first day back in school after the summer break. Make sure you remember them - they are really important! In Year Five you need to remember that as well as having rights, you have responsibilities too!
- Which of our rules do you think is the most important? - Have we forgotten any rules? - Can you explain why we have rules, rights and responsibilities in school? Welcome to your new class! Our topic for the first few weeks of Year Five is Brainwave and it's all about how we learn, how we think and how our brains work. For our first blogging session, I would like you to leave a comment that explains these things...
1) Tell us about something that you're proud to have learnt. How did you learn it? What was difficult about it? 2) How do you think you learn best? 3) What are you looking forward to improving in Year Five? 4) Give one 'Top Tip' about learning for the other members of our class. |
